Game 1: Scherzer outpitched Sale by firing a 2-hit shutout and Gomez homered for the only run in a 1-0 Rock win.

Eagle Rock     001 000 00x -- 1-3-0     WP:   Scherzer   SV:  Neshek   HR:   Gomez

Game #2:

You won't believe how this game ended!  The score was tied 5-5 in the bottom of the 11th, when:

A.  Belt reached base on an error by thirdbaseman Rendon!

B.  Schimpf walked on back to back 14's against A+C*XYZ Jansen!!

C.  Davis sacrificed the runners to 2nd and 3rd with a 66=1!!!

D.  Sanchez was intentionally walked to load the bases, as he was rolling a 66=1!!!!

E.  Pinder then hit a pinch-hit, walk-off, grand slam!!!!!

Eagle Rock    030 200 000 04 -- 9-7-2   WP:  Green   HR:  Strasburg, Pinder

Game #3:

The Hilltoppers jumped off to a 4-0 lead until the Rocks changed their rolzing strategy.   Then they scored two in the 7th and four in the 8th (sparked by back to back batters hit by the pitch), and the visitors rallied for a 6-4 win and a 3-0 series lead:

Eagle Rock    000 000 240 -- 6-7-1   WP:  Milner   SV:  Neshek

Bryn Mawr    012 010 000 -- 4-7-0    LP:  Jansen  HR:  Rendon, Cruz

Game #4:

Amazingly, the second Sale vs. Scherzer matchup also ended 1-0 after a solo homer in a 2-hit shutout (this time by Sale) marked by a walk-off blast by Springer!

Eagle Rock   000 000 000 -- 0-2-0    LP:   Scherzer

Bryn Mawr  000 000 001  -- 1-7-0    WP:   Sale   HR:  Springer

Game 5:

Bryn Mawr jumped off to a two-run lead with 2nd-inning homers by Myers and Springer, but the Rocks got back into the game with a solo homer by Gomez in the 4th and a two-run homer by Thames in the 5th.  Then the visitors put the game (and the series) away by scoring four runs (including a homer by Turner) in the 6th.

Eagle Rock   000 124 000 -- 7-6-0    WP:  Strasburg    HR:  Gomez, Thames, Turner

Bryn Mawr  020 000 011 -- 4-7-0    LP:  Hill    HR:  Myers, Springer, Segura

Series Co-MVPs were Bryn Mawr's Chris Sale and Eagle Rock's Max Scherzer for their twin outstanding 1-0 two-hit battles.   Eagle Rock wins the series in five games to move on to the Mail3 World Series, while Marc deserves congratulations for a terrific season and for winning in round one of the playoffs.

Game #1:   Scherzer and Neshek combined for a 4-hitter, and Scherzer struck out 10 for a 5-3 win:

Toronto         100 000 200 -- 3-4-0    LP:  Lester    HR:  Martin

Eagle Rock    100 031 00x -- 5-9-0     WP:  Scherzer   SV:  Neshek   HR:  Sanchez

Game #2:  The wind was blowing out at Rock Stadium, as the teams combined for an absurd EIGHT homers.  Unfortunately for the visitors, the tally was Rocks 6, Blue Jays 2.   Everyone in the home team lineup homered except for Gomez, Story, and Turner (our leadoff, third, and fourth hitters, respectively).  Randy Grichuk made it close with a 3-run, 2-out homer in the 9th, but Strasburg shut the door before Neshek could warm up to get the save.

Toronto         010 003 003 -- 7-7-0   LP:  Paxton   HR:  Ramirez, Grichuk

Eagle Rock    015 004 00x -- 10-9-0   WP:  Strasburg   HR:  Dozer 2, Garcia, Thames, Davis, Sanchez

Game #3: Gomez HR breaks 1-1 tie then Thames adds 11-4 3-run shot for 5-1 lead. Leafs get one back in 5th but far too few.
