Welcome to this "17th Century French Playhouses" online
lecture, which has been prepared to aid Theatre Studies students
in revision, as well as to test models of
delivering and sharing online lectures on theatre architecture.
The four parts of the lecture are as follows:
Each link will
launch a Quicktime movie (.mov) version of a video lecture. If
you have a low-bandwidth connection, you can opt to access
each part as hyperlinked text or as an audio sequence with slides. Please
note: in order to play the video or audio versions, you will
need to have the
Quicktime
Player
working
on your machine. You can download Quicktime for free here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/
The activity links
under each part are designed for generating in-class discussions
or focused exam preparation. Please take time to view them after
each part. The multimedia page is for the convenience of teachers
who wish to use this material in their classes.
This beta site
is now under evaluation. We would love to have your feedback.
